Recording Duration and Points Overview

The recording duration varies based on your membership level. For standard users, the recording duration is limited to 1 minute. By upgrading to Premium, you’ll unlock this 1-minute restriction. To ensure you don’t miss important recordings, there is currently no maximum recording duration limit. However, we recommend keeping recordings under 3 hours. Recordings exceeding 4 hours cannot be transcribed and will require third-party software for splitting. For iOS splitting instructions, please refer to the explanation at the bottom.

Points are a measurement unit equivalent to the “energy” that powers product features, similar to battery life in daily life. With points, you can harness the power of advanced AI to accomplish related tasks.

Premium users receive 1,500 K points each month, which are distributed on your purchase date, with the following month’s points added at midnight the day after the purchase date. For example, if purchased on July 20, points will be distributed on August 21 at midnight. Unused points do not expire at the end of the month and will continue to accumulate, with a validity period of one year.

Regarding point usage, each minute of recording consumes approximately 3-4K points. We aim to continually reduce point consumption through technical improvements to enhance your experience.

If your points are insufficient for the month, you can also purchase additional points separately. After becoming a member, you can find the purchase button on your account page.

iOS Recording Splitting Instructions:

1. In the transcription interface, tap the top right corner to export the audio and share it with the system’s “Voice Memos” app.

2. In the Voice Memos app, edit the recording by splitting it into multiple segments (each segment should not exceed 3 hours).

3. Share the split segments back to “ideaShell.”

4. Return to ideaShell to proceed with transcription.
